Virtual/Augmented reality devices need to sense and understand the world around users with precision, robustness and speed. You will design/develop algorithms, conduct experiments, and evaluate performance to help deliver the best sensing system for our product. This is a critical role to create the best Virtual/Augmented Reality user experiences.
Design and implement advanced algorithms for SLAM and pose tracking by optimally fusing visual and inertial measurements collected from multiple cameras and IMUs.
Work with various visual (RGB or RGBD) and inertial sensors, calibrate and tune them to push the boundaries of accuracy, speed, robustness and other key performance indicators.
Prototype advanced computer vision algorithms for SLAM, hand gesture tracking, 3D modeling, object detection/tracking, object recognition, etc.
Collaborate with storytellers, designers, artists, engineers to deliver high quality user experiences.
Strong experience with computer vision or robotics algorithms and development
Fluent in C/C++ (programming and debugging)
Experience working with OpenCV
Involvement in projects using SLAM, pose tracking, robot navigation, hand gesture tracking is a plus
Experience with Android/mobile application development is a plus
Experience with machine learning methods, including deep learning is a plus
Knowledge of parallel computing, CUDA, OpenCL is a plus
